Unicode support — programmes supporting Unicode can process all the characters the font contains, however, they may not be able to utilise some special functions of the font. Special features enable, for example, automatic substitution of lower case with small caps, automatic ligatures etc. Up to this day, these functions are supported only by certain applications.
