Font Repairs

Some older fonts may contain various errors, causing problems in more recent versions of operation systems or applications. Font repair will enable you to use older fonts even in the latest version of Adobe CreativeSuite without trouble. Following, you will find the description of most common problems, which we are able to solve immediately and efficiently:

Font cannot display accented characters after a new version of an application or an operation system was installed.

This common error is caused by wrong labelling of characters in the font. The solution is to rename all the wrong labels according to the Unicode and Adobe Glyph List standard lists. This is one of our standard services.

Some characters do not work, for example ť or ď.

This error is also caused by wrong labelling of some symbols in the font, very commonly of characters with a caron (ď, ť, ľ, and Ľ). The solution is to rename all the wrong labels according to the Unicode and Adobe Glyph List standard lists. This is one of our standard services.

Wrong shape of a letter, twisted diacritics, wrong character width etc.

Even a programmer or typographer may overlook a certain detail, so it is possible to find an error in a font. If the possibility of returning the typeface to its author isn't available, we will be happy to solve such problem for you.

Fonts adopt wrong order in the menu

This may be caused, for example, by wrong denoting of fonts. There are very strict rules for electronic typefaces, concerning the naming of individual cuts. Some older fonts do not abide to those rules. If you have a font which adopts some unexpected order in the menu, we will modify its name and other parameters according to your requirements.

Further information

We fully support the Unicode format. We supply our modified typefaces either in their original format, or as OpenType, TrueType, or PS Type 1. All modifications of fonts are carried out using professional applications FontLab and TransType. The results are tested in all common graphic and office applications.
